Reflections and beautiful photographic captures of a woman's journey after traveling over 32 countries. This is also an inward journey into the self, in seeking calmness of the mind and motivating oneself to strive forward when holding on seems just a little too tough.
Here are some of places you'll travel to in this journey, just to name a few.

A sneak peak at what's in the book... (or, when you just need that extra motivation)

I have learned not to worry or fear about the unknown, or what may come next. Not only do these inhibiting emotions fail to alleviate the situation, they are also extremely unsettling. By worrying and being ensconced in fear, our minds are hypothetically experiencing the worst or the undesired, when in reality the worst may not come at all. Worse, we replay it over and over again. Why should we subject ourselves to this unnecessary torture?

Our actions are governed by the beliefs we hold. What are beliefs? They are feelings that we are certain how something would be. Belief could work both ways. Rather than believing we can in fact accomplish a certain task, if conversely we strongly believe in our limitations and neglect our assets, it would become a hindrance to us in succeeding. If we step back, look at others that accomplish much more with a condition that is far worse, then there is simply excuse for abandoning ourselves.

Basically, it boils down to the fact that we need to be true and honest to ourselves, be disturbed enough by whatever undesirable situation we find ourselves in so that we have a motivation to improve and change, and more significantly, to find a specific goal and come up with strong reasons for obtaining it and planning the small but concrete steps we can perform daily in improving and reaching the goal.

When one senses life in a continuous flow, one would find that the earlier circumstances, actions and nature of the individual, eventually resulting in one's fate, are quite seamlessly preordained. So don't be too hard on yourself when you fail to change an outcome. Maybe somethings are just (not) meant to be.

As problems get resolved, new problems are raised - but they are viewed as challenges and the better we become, the better the standards we set for ourselves, thus resulting in a never-ending upward path of self fulfillment and improvement.

Our meaning and purpose in life is discovered by ourselves as we progress in life, by the experiences and interactions with the people we encounter, the knowledge and wisdom we gain, the personality and passion that develops which result in the actions we take through the course of our lives. In the end, what we achieve in life, what is meaningful to us, are the vivid memories that we take away, and perhaps accomplishments and legacies we leave behind for others.

Think about a bad habit or something you'd like to change - then rather than focusing on the pleasure of this deprecating thing, think hard on the pains that will result from it. Instead, associate the pleasure you will have from changing and that will stimulate your brain to work towards correcting. It is easier to change our ways if we consciously make the mental associations of pain and pleasure to work for us, don't you agree?
With love,
Angel
